Havey Star Catering has been in business for about 19 years. From a tiny stall at Kenyatta Market, the business has grown and now offers catering services for weddings, birthdays, and offices in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Eldoret.
Before Havey Star became the successful business it is today, it was a tiny stall in Kenyatta Market, where Jimton Okeyo, the founder, was a one-man-army running the entire show. He was the chef, salesperson, driver, and delivery person, and he took on any other role the business needed to grow.
Close to two decades later, and with 22 staff, he’s learnt several lessons on the job, such as customer management, food costing, and hiring the right personnel, which keep propelling him to deliver great service and delicious food to his clients.
