About 12 years ago, Simon Wachira started avocado farming with 20 trees. Now, his farm has grown to 80 trees and offers him a decent livelihood he takes pride in.
Simon Wachira has always been a farmer at heart. After retiring from DelMonte, Simon turned to avocado farming. His goal was to diversify from maize and beans while also earning an income from this new venture, as he enjoys his sunset years.
